Mission

The Institute’s actions are based on the conviction that the use of sacred substances is a spiritual experience and that the ritual of their use is religious in nature. Lumping all these substances together under the term drugs obfuscates the fact that each one of them has its own peculiar healing properties. This generalizing approach moreover renders near impossible the task of understanding the reasons for their use and the elaboration of appropriate policies, respectful of their users.

The mission of the Institute is defined by the War on Drugs: to promote Drugs Peace by fomenting respect for the users of these sacred substances, understanding of the religiosity of their consumption and by uncovering the obscure reasons for their prohibition.

The ultimate goal of the Institute is the alignment of drugs policy with the human rights of the consumers and their full integration into society.
